Youth Tap Level 1 years and is open to students who have taken a tap class in the past or are new to tap and are at the age range for this level. Students should be ready to learn the basics and more. The class will encompass strong locomotion across the floor, traditional footwork and repetition of musical rhythms, and a strong sense of musicality. Body percussion and basic combinations will also be taught. The more complex combination will be introduced as students progress.
The dress code Black leggings and solid colored t- shirt, or leotard, white socks with tap shoes. Hair back and no jewelry.

Camp Description: " Around the World" is a whirlwind 5-day camp that blends Dance/StoryTelling/Music and Crafts that will expose dancers to 3 different world cultures" the European Ballet of Louis the XIV the South American Spanish Dances and the Dances of the Russian Folk regions. This is for beginners and will be taught at an introductory level.
This workshop is the perfect introductory multi-disciplinary workshop for little bodies that thrive on moving story-telling and imaginary play. Students will have a jam-packed day! And have a lasting experience and come home tired!

10:15-11:00 Music of the countries- Songs and Rhythms
11:00-11:45 Crafts of France, Spain, Russia

12:30-- 1:30 Nursery Rhymes and Imagination Theater ( Acting class)

Intensive Description:
The Beginner Dance Intensive is a dynamic dance immersion for two weeks that will offer your dancer exposure and technical skills in a variety of different dance styles. No experience is necessary for this introductory level but previous experience in Creative, Pre-Ballet, or any movement class is a plus.
The day will include Ballet, Modern, Musical Theater Jazz, Contemporary, Russian character techniques, Acting, Stage Choreography and Costume design, WSPA makes these 10 days a fun and unforgettable and productive summer experience.
Specialty lectures in Anatomy and guided games in how the body works for us as well as vocabulary and historical dance figures all keep these days full of new information. This is a great way to get a beginner prepped for fall classes or figure out what technique your dancer may want to pursue for the future.

The Teen Dance Intensive is a dynamic dance immersion for two weeks that will offer your dancer exposure and technical skills in a variety of different dance styles. Previous dance training is recommended 3 years minimum. Placement class is available to ensure the right class fit upon request
The day will include Ballet, Modern, Musical Theater Jazz, Contemporary, Russian character techniques, Acting, Stage Choreography and Composition. WSPA will make these 10 days a fun and unforgettable and productive summer experience.
