Instructor:  Hayley Quinn, WSPA Dance Faculty, Jazz

Hayley is excited to join the faculty and students at WSPA. Hayley trained locally under Emily Schilling-George and Marty Roberts, performing and competing at the state and national level. Hayley trained for two years in the pre-professional division of the famed Westlake Dance Company under Kirsten Cooper, prior to dancing at the collegiate level with Gonzaga University. While in college, Hayley was an instructor at Julie’s Competitive Edge Dance Academy in Spokane, WA. Following an undergrad degree in Psychology, Hayley coached and managed the Seattle University Dance Team for three years, taking the program from a small, grassroots organization to a Divison I-level program with full Division I Athletics department recognition and scholarship funding. In addition to the college level, Hayley coached and managed a pre-professional dance team for its inaugural season. Hayley also coached high school cheerleading for 5 years at a local school. Hayley is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Pediatrics and Health Psychology. In terms of style and approach, Hayley emphasizes technique, athleticism, and precision, while encouraging personal and artistic expression and musicality. 

Attire: WSPA  Thank you for adhering to our jazz attire requirements. Tan tights, black  slip-on Jazz shoes, or tie shoes.  Black camisole leotard. boody shorts Hair back in a ponytail and no jewelry. Jazz classes do not allow bare midriff attire.

Description: Jazz 2-3 Requires a year of previous dance training preferably in ballet. Knowledge of the basic positions of the feet basic stance and an understanding of class structure is required. Ballet 1 or Ballet 2 taken with this class is a strong pairing. Jazz Warm up, isolations, across the floor, sequencing will all be taught. WSPA Jazz 2-3 takes energy and style!
