 The Young Choreographers Program 12- Adult

WSPA's Young Choreographers Program is a mentorship program for dancers with 2+ years of dance experience who are interested in creating and showcasing their choreographic work. Choreographers in this program willl explore choreographic techniques, explore creativity, and create a ready-to-perform dance.

Dancers will meet each week with Ms. Fontaine and will learn choreographic techniques. Choreographers choose their own style of movement, can create a solo, duet, or group dance.

The choreographer is the student who must be registered for the class. Dancers invited to dance in pieces are not required to attend the class.

Choreographers will need to work on their own to create and rehearse their pieces on their own time. WSPA may have minimal rehearsal spce available upon request for choreographers.

Pieces created by the Choreographers will be presented at a showcase in January. WSPA will audition the completed pieces and choose 2-3 to be performed early  in our mainstage production in December. 

WSPA is excited to offer the next step in producing and mentoring emerging artists.
